10/13/2022: Zen Poem

Zen poem,

~ translated by Sr. Dang Nghiem, Deer Park Monastery

The skin and flesh are disintegrating,
this body is withering,
yet my soul is still so joyful,
like spring flowers.

Mountains and rivers are vast,
there’s no concern of this tiny body,
so I’m returning it
to the immense earth and sky.

My soul is still joyful,
like spring flowers.
